Camp Pendleton Historical Sign

We always drive by Camp Pendleton when we are coming back from San Diego and see the brown sign on the right of the 5 freeway. I love the sign because it looks original and pays respect to the history of Camp Pendleton. A lot of people don’t know that the symbol in the middle of the sign was actually the cattle brand for the ranch Rancho Santa Margarita y Las Flores, the original use of the land before the US government took over. The ranch gave the US government permission to use the cattle brand as the logo for Camp Pendleton.
